About IDS-Technology
IDS-Technology GmbH develops and manufactures electrical engineering products for industrial plants in Bitburg (Rhineland-Palatinate), in particular the patented switchgear integration kit E-CON. It enables switchgear cabinet manufacturers to convert fixed-mounted switchboards – especially motor control centers (MCC) – to modular withdrawable or draw-out technology. The product family includes E-CON s.i. with only three components (contact module, cable module, rail module), the flexible E-CON modular with a patented Lambda contact system up to 630 A, and E-CON smart for efficient power tapping. Motor starters up to 22 kW fit in a 75 mm height, components up to 250 kW in 225 mm. The company grants licenses to more than 40 switchgear manufacturers worldwide and has successfully integrated over 200,000 components. E-CON systems are used in power plants, refineries, cement works, ships and subway systems; reference projects range from Chernobyl to the Al-Haram Mosque to the Paraguay hydroelectric power plant.
