Feeding technology from IFC – sorting, feeding, automating
IFC Intelligent Feeding Components GmbH, based in Oedheim, is a manufacturer of a modular system platform for feeding, assembly and inspection technology. The portfolio includes small conveyor belts with head and centre drives, modular conveyor belts, vibratory flat storage systems, step-feed elevators, belt bunkers, additively manufactured 4Q feeding bowls, the H-portal handling system as well as camera-based optoelectronic system solutions such as the camera belt unit, the IFC-Checkbox as a replacement for the Festo Checkbox and the robot-assisted Flexfeeder. The systems convey, singulate, buffer, inspect, sort and feed small parts at belt speeds of up to 72 m/min and cycle rates of up to 50 parts/s. IFC manufactures and assembles the systems itself, from design through production to assembly and quality inspection, and supports customers with CAD data. User industries include the automotive supply and automotive industry, the electrical and electronics industry, metal and plastics processing as well as the medical, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sector.

Materials and manufacturing processes
PA12
Material of the additively manufactured 4Q feeding bowls produced by the HP Multi Jet Fusion process (MJF), optionally with PU coating.
HP Multi Jet Fusion (3D printing)
Additive manufacturing process for feeding bowls, in which pneumatic channels, flaps and sensor holders are also integrated in a single production step.
Aluminium profile
Belt body of the small conveyor belts, available for customer-specific extension.
Stainless steel
Sealed bearings of the conveyor belts, guide plates, buffer bunkers and steps of the step-feed elevators.
PU coating
Coating of feeding bowls and flat storage surfaces for rough parts, e.g. with threads.

Quality assurance
IFC combines design, manufacturing, assembly and quality inspection technology from a single source. Camera-based optoelectronic systems such as the camera belt unit and the optoelectronic complete system inspect the type, position and quality of small parts contactlessly in the production cycle according to the zero-defect philosophy.
