Welding automation since 1967
igm Robotersysteme AG, headquartered in Wiener Neudorf (Austria), has been developing and manufacturing automated welding and cutting technology since 1967. The portfolio ranges from the RTE 400 robot series (6-, 7- and 8-axis welding robots in a rigid cast aluminum construction) and the fully digital RCE robot controller with K6 programming pendant, sensor systems (gas nozzle finding, arc seam finding, laser camera iCAM), welding torches with torch changeover system, robot and workpiece periphery, to the beveling machine iBS and flexible robot production lines (FMS) with a host computer. Materials are mainly steel sheet for applications such as flame cutting and beveling, and cast aluminum for the robot arms. The systems are used in mechanical engineering, the truck industry, excavator manufacturing, railway construction, boiler manufacturing and shipbuilding; over 4000 systems have been installed worldwide. Production takes place in Austria, Hungary and Germany, complemented by subsidiaries and sales partners in more than 20 countries. As a member of Global Welding Technologies, the group covers the entire field of welding technology from the arc to the laser and electron beam.
