About igus Austria
igus polymer Innovationen GmbH is the Austrian sales subsidiary of the igus Group headquartered in Cologne, founded in 1964 (industrial injection moulding). igus develops and produces motion plastics: lubrication- and maintenance-free components made of high-performance plastics such as energy chains, chainflex cables, iglidur plain bearings, igubal spherical bearings, drylin linear technology, threaded drive technology, robots and smart plastics sensor technology. Most products are manufactured by injection moulding, with the tools produced in the company's own toolmaking operation iform. Complementary services offer individual injection moulding, CNC machining of turned and milled parts from over 50 tribologically optimised plastics as well as 3D printing (SLS, FDM, DLP) from a quantity of 1. The service life of the products is made calculable on the basis of more than 11,000 wear tests per year in the company's own test laboratory. The Group supplies 188,000 customers in over 80 countries through 30 of its own subsidiaries; from the Austrian subsidiary in Lenzing, customers in automation, wastewater treatment plants, car washes, crane technology and other industries are served.

Quality & Testing
All products are tested under real conditions for wear and load capacity in the igus test laboratory, the largest in the industry; annually more than 11,000 abrasion tests on 450 test stations are incorporated into the online service life calculation. Customer tests are also carried out on request.
