About Ilmenauer Mechatronik GmbH
Ilmenauer Mechatronik GmbH (IMG) develops and optimizes complex mechatronic drive systems and manufactures magnetic measuring and testing technology of the MagHyst® product family. Using sensorless, non-destructive coil-in measurement technology, magnetic actuators can be analyzed over their entire life cycle – in product development, in production-accompanying testing (incoming goods, in-line, end-of-line) and for condition monitoring. The portfolio includes computer-controlled measuring systems (modular, automation, mobile, embedded, multiplexer), measuring adapters for determining B(H) characteristics of soft magnetic materials, as well as engineering services ranging from magnetics, electronics and software to design, prototype construction and small series. Customers come from the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, elevator and transport technology, industrial and power plant systems, automation, robotics and safety engineering. The company works closely with universities such as TU Ilmenau and is based in Ilmenau (Thuringia).

Quality
MagHyst®-based quality control covers incoming goods inspection, in-line and end-of-line testing and supports the zero-defect strategy. Detected issues include, among others, friction in the system, residual air gaps, spring preload, winding short circuits, cold solder joints and missing components; all measurement and evaluation data are archived.
