About us
ima-tec gmbh is a medium-sized mechanical engineering company focused on the automation of assembly and testing tasks. The company develops and manufactures customized turnkey systems and modular applications – from assembly systems for small parts and microsystems technology to testing and metrology equipment and handling systems for plastic injection molding. The value chain extends from feasibility studies and mechanical design through electrical design, control cabinet construction and in-house PLC/HMI software development to installation, commissioning and maintenance of the systems. At the Unterpleichfeld site, the machining of precision parts (3- and 5-axis CNC milling, conventional turning and milling machines) is covered in-house, supported by own inspection equipment such as a 3D measuring microscope, 3D scanner and materials testing machine. Customers include companies in medical technology, microsystems technology, e-mobility, special-purpose machinery engineering and the plastic injection molding industry, including ABB Stotz-Kontakt, Bosch Rexroth and FRIZ Biochem. Since October 2017, ima-tec has been part of the SAR Group; at its main site in Kürnach and in Unterpleichfeld, the company employs more than 95 staff.
