About Imagination Technologies
Imagination Technologies is a semiconductor company that has been developing GPU architectures since 1992 and licenses them as soft IP (soft GPU IP) to chip manufacturers. The licensees integrate the architecture into their silicon products, which are used in over 12 billion devices worldwide – including automobiles, smartphones, wearables and PCs. The GPUs cover graphics, neural rendering as well as compute and AI workloads and are particularly suitable for AI acceleration in power-constrained edge devices thanks to Tile-based Deferred Rendering, low-precision number formats (including FP8, MXFP4) and up to 32 TOPS INT8 per core. Technologies include hardware-based Ray Tracing – as a pioneer for mobile applications –, DirectX support, Neural Super Resolution and ASIL-B Safety Coverage. Fields of application are Automotive (infotainment, cockpit, sensor fusion, ADAS), Mobile, Desktop and PC gaming, Cloud Gaming as well as Consumer Electronics and IoT. In 2025, the E-Series for On-Device AI and Graphics was released and Markus Mosen was appointed CEO.
