About the IMOPLASTIC Group
Founded in 1980 and headquartered in Marinha Grande (Portugal), the IMOPLASTIC Group specialises in the manufacture of injection moulds for thermoplastics with a production capacity of up to 40 tonnes of mould weight. The Group comprises five companies: Imoplastic (up to 6 t), Imodrill (up to 16 t), Geocam (up to 40 t), Imoinject (injection moulding production) and ImoInov (technical support and consultancy). The value chain ranges from product development and mould design through CNC machining, EDM and grinding to injection moulding production and component assembly. Equipment includes high-speed milling centres (3-axis to 6-axis), electric discharge machines (EDM), 3D measuring machines and injection moulding machines with clamping forces from 80 to 1000 tonnes, complemented by two-component injection moulding and simulation software (CADMOULD, MOLDEX3D, ANSYS). With more than 200 employees, over 3000 moulds manufactured and an export share of 95 %, the Group supplies customers worldwide, especially in the automotive industry. 25 % of the Group's energy comes from sustainable sources.

Materials & Processes
Thermoplastics
Injection moulding material for the production of plastic parts and for the Group's mould making.
ABS
For FDM 3D printing (Stratasys Fortus 250mc) in the field of prototyping.
Tool steel
Base material of the injection moulds; moulds and steel parts are dimensionally inspected using 3D metrology.
