About INBUS Werkzeug GmbH
INBUS Werkzeug GmbH is the manufacturer of the Original INBUS®, a brand registered in 1934 for hexagon socket screws and the corresponding hexagon socket key. The product range covers three areas: screws (including socket head cap screws, nuts and washers in stainless steel A2), screwdriving tools (L-series/angle screwdrivers, I-series, T-series, automotive series, bits and special tools) as well as the Schraubchemie® with thread lockers, rust removers, oils, cleaners and ceramic paste. The keys are manufactured at the Breckerfeld site by cold forming: round rolled wire is drawn into a hexagon profile, bent into the L-shape on specialised Bihler machines and subsequently tempered. Screw production is likewise based on the cold forming process, which enables material and cost efficiency at consistent quality. From 1962, the company developed the integrated thread locker INBUS PLUS® with encapsulated microcapsules together with 3M. The products are distributed via the company's own online shop to trades and industry, including the mechanical engineering, automotive, plumbing and heating sectors.
