About INDIKATOR GmbH

INDIKATOR GmbH is a specialist laboratory for elemental analysis based in Wuppertal with more than 30 years of laboratory experience. The laboratory analyzes heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, mercury and arsenic as well as organic halogen compounds in matrices such as food, cosmetics, textiles, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, water, soil and waste. Core methods are ICP-MS mass spectrometry, SingleParticle-ICP-MS nanoparticle analysis, X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF) including PVC detection, mercury determination by atomic fluorescence spectrometry, and colorimetric chromium(VI) determination. These are preceded by microwave, total and aqua regia digestions and eluates according to standardized methods. In addition to direct customer orders, INDIKATOR GmbH works as a contract and subcontract laboratory for more than 100 partner laboratories and engineering offices, for example in the event of instrument failure or capacity bottlenecks. The laboratory is accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 and GMP-certified for ICP-MS heavy metal testing in accordance with the German Medicines Act (AMG); results are available in as little as 12 hours depending on the question.
