The Industrie- und Büroreinigungsgesellschaft mbH (IBR) was founded in 1991 by Volker Boche in Sassnitz on Rügen and has since been active as a cleaning service provider and building services provider in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Guided by the principle 'cleaning is asset preservation', the company offers janitorial and glass cleaning, construction final cleaning, industrial cleaning, facade cleaning, carpet and upholstery cleaning as well as cleaning of ventilation and air-conditioning systems according to VDI 6022 and kitchen exhaust systems according to VDI 2052. Further services include fire damage restoration, asbestos remediation and decontamination, caretaker services, green space maintenance, winter services, pest control and solar panel cleaning. The subsidiary Appartementservice Mukran GmbH (AS) specializes in cleaning hotels, holiday apartments and private households. With around 320 employees at four locations in Mukran, Stralsund, Greifswald and Rostock, IBR is one of the larger private employers in the region and is certified as a specialist craft business according to ISO 9001:2015. The headquarters has been located since 2005 in an 1,800 sqm company building in the Mukran ferry port.
