About Industriepark Nienburg

Industriepark Nienburg GmbH, as a subsidiary of Eastman Chemical, is the operator and service company of the Nienburg industrial park, which has evolved from the tradition of an old potash chemical and Solvay site. On the premises at Große Drakenburger Straße in Nienburg (Weser), internationally active chemical and biotechnology companies are based, including Flexsys Verkauf GmbH (production of insoluble/polymer sulfur Crystex), BASF Process Catalysts (silicate adsorbents for natural gas treatment), Feralco (aluminium products) and Novonesis (fermentation of enzymes and bacterial cultures). The operator provides central energy and media supply (steam, oil-free compressed air, fully demineralized water, electricity, natural gas), an on-site wastewater treatment plant, land, buildings, central purchasing and warehousing, as well as maintenance workshops for mechanical, electrical and instrumentation and control (I&C) work. The mechanical workshop is equipped with lathes, milling machines and a welding shop. Around 650 employees of the resident companies work at the site; the independent plant fire brigade ensures fire safety.
