About Industriesandwerk Hardt

Industriesandwerk Robert Hardt GmbH & Co KG in Kelsterbach has been extracting quartz sand since 1978 and processing it into refined natural sands with standardized chemical and physical characteristics. The raw sand is extracted above and below the groundwater table using clamshell excavators and is then processed by washing, desliming and de-wooding, drying with dedusting, and screening into the grain fractions K101 to K105 (0,10 to 4,00 mm). The quartz sand is characterized by a high SiO2 content and high refractoriness and is used, among other applications, in the chemical and glass processing industries, in the foundry and ceramics industries, in construction chemicals, and as filter sand in swimming pool technology. Delivery is made in bulk, by silo or tipper trains, in 25 kg or 40 kg bags, or in big bags; collection from the plant is possible Monday through Friday.
