About INEOS Solvents

INEOS Solvents is one of the leading manufacturers of oxygenated solvents and fine chemicals in Europe. Around 800 employees produce synthetically manufactured alcohols, ethers, ketones, peroxides, alcoholates as well as 1,4-butanediol and its derivatives with tailored purity levels – from pharmaceutical to technical grade – at the sites in Moers, Herne and in the Marl Chemical Park. Almost all production processes were designed by the company's own engineers; the patented DOROX® product family is a registered trademark of the company. The three production plants have a total capacity of over 600,000 tonnes per year. The products are used in paints, coatings and finishes, cleaning and disinfectant agents, plastics, adhesives, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. INEOS Solvents is part of the British chemical group INEOS, founded in 1998.
