About Infineum
Infineum International Limited is a specialty chemicals company headquartered in Abingdon, UK, which emerged in January 1999 as a joint venture between ExxonMobil and Shell from the merger of both groups' additives divisions. The company formulates, manufactures and markets additives for the fuel and lubricant industry, including engine and motor oil additives, fuel additives, marine additives, driveline additives, viscosity modifiers and pour point depressants. The products improve fuel economy, emissions and engine life in applications ranging from passenger cars to commercial vehicles, marine shipping, and gas and industrial engines; a growing portfolio also covers applications in e-mobility and battery technology as well as magnetorheological materials. Infineum operates production plants, among others, in Zhangjiagang (China, up to 100,000 t of lubricant additives per year), on Jurong Island (Singapore, calcium salicylate) and in Vado Ligure (Italy), and works with more than 20 external manufacturers (toll blenders). With around 2,000 employees, more than 1,500 global patents and over 70 sales countries, the additives are sold in more than 90 countries.
