infra Infrastrukturgesellschaft Region Hannover GmbH was founded on July 1, 2001, and has since been responsible for the complete infrastructure of the Hannover city rail. It manages railway lines, tunnels, stops, stations, and park-and-ride facilities. Its services include track extensions, rail renewals, the extension of high-level platforms, and the barrier-free expansion of stops. The network covers 123.1 kilometers with 267.8 kilometers of track length, including approximately 39 kilometers of tunnel sections and around 45 kilometers of green track. The company also operates 55 rectifiers for power supply and 20 P+R facilities with more than 2,000 parking spaces. infra is a subsidiary of the Public Transport and Transport Company Hanover (VVG), whose owners are the state capital city Hanover and the Region Hannover.
