Ing. Grimm Schweißtechnik GmbH was founded in 1972 in Hamburg and specializes in welding system solutions. The company develops and manufactures fully mechanized TIG welding systems and automation solutions, including the DuoTIG 360°, the Smart Laser Probe System for laser seam tracking, the digital cold wire feeder DKA 9000, as well as arc-length control, oscillation and internal pipe clamping systems. Notable projects include an internal seam welding system for pipes made of high-alloy steels and nickel-based alloys (SOSTA), a TIG circumferential seam system for austenitic materials in valve engineering (Roman Seliger), and a system for TIG welding fuel tanks made of high-strength titanium alloy with a 500 mm diameter for the European launch vehicle ARIANE (Astrium/EADS). In addition, the company acts as a distribution partner for leading manufacturer brands of welding power sources, components, spare parts and consumables, and offers repair service with five service vehicles, DGUV inspections, validation, and a rental pool for welding power sources.
