Founded in 1933 in Erlangen, the company initially manufactured X-ray stands and supplied Hoffmann Röntgenwerke; in the mid-1930s, medical technology and practice supplies were added. Today, Frankmed covers the complete medical demand of physicians, hospitals, spa clinics and other customers in the medical sector. Its range of services includes practice planning, practice and project fit-out and the distribution of medical technology – all from a single source – complemented by a webshop serving customers throughout Germany. Since 2002, the family-owned company has been working with the purchasing association Centramed and is now run in its third generation by Jochen Renker.
