About JetCat / Ingenieurbüro CAT, M. Zipperer GmbH
Ingenieurbüro CAT, M. Zipperer GmbH, based in Ballrechten-Dottingen, has been developing and manufacturing customized laboratory solutions since 1976, including micro dosing pumps, magnetic stirrers, shakers, dispersers, cell counters and robots for laboratory automation. In 2000, with the JetCat product brand, the development and manufacture of jet turbines for model jet aircraft was added. Today, these miniature gas turbine systems are used not only in model aviation sports, but also in drones, in stationary applications at universities and colleges, and in industrial applications; reference customers include NASA and ATT. All turbines are designed and verified on a 3D-CAD system. Production is carried out in-house: an own CNC machine park (milling and turning machines) produces milled and turned parts as well as toolmaking, plastic parts are made on own injection molding machines, and thin-walled metal parts such as combustion chambers are welded on own laser welding systems. Rotor assemblies and finished engines are dynamically or fine-balanced before every engine undergoes a test run with thrust or torque measurement prior to delivery.
