Ingenieurgemeinschaft Kronach + Müller (IKM), also known as Das Tragwerk, was founded in 1992 by civil engineers Wolfgang Kronach and Walter Müller and is an engineering office for structural planning, statics, and building physics based in Birkenau (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, Baden-Württemberg). The team of ten permanently employed engineers, technicians, and draftsmen plans and constructs structures for new buildings and renovations, ranging from extensions to halls and residential and office complexes to large buildings. Services include conceptual and detailed structural planning, static calculations of forces, moments, and stresses using the Finite Element Method, as well as building physics assessments for thermal, moisture, acoustic, light, and fire protection, including EnEV certification. Furthermore, the office offers site monitoring in the execution phase and energy consulting (DENA list). The office is registered with the Hessian Chamber of Engineers as consulting engineers and certified experts for structural planning, thermal, acoustic, and fire protection. Reference projects include the Eastsite office park in Mannheim-Neuostheim, a residential building in Weinheim, the renovation of barracks in Lahr, and the Kurfürstenanlage complex.
