About Ingpuls Smart Shadings

Ingpuls Smart Shadings GmbH is a spin-off of Ingpuls GmbH founded in 2021 in Bochum and develops, produces, markets and licenses shading systems based on shape memory alloys (SMAs). The self-sufficient systems are driven without electric motors, operate silently and energy-efficiently, and are characterized by slim design, low space requirements and lightweight, flexible installation. As a subsidiary of Ingpuls GmbH, the company uses custom-made shape memory alloys that are produced exclusively by Ingpuls and manufactures the systems individually to customer requirements. Areas of application include modern buildings and facades, private residential buildings and terraces, outdoor areas of hotels and beer gardens as well as public spaces such as streets, parks, squares and promenades. Since 2022, the company has been a partner of the EU Pathfinder project ZERAF for the development of adaptive facade systems.

Founded as Ingpuls Smart Shadings UG (haftungsbeschränkt) in Bochum; new entry in the commercial register on 10.06.2021, conversion to Ingpuls Smart Shadings GmbH effective 01.06./12.07.2021.

Participation in the ZERAF project (EIC Pathfinder Open) together with Eurac Research, INDRESMAT, Active Insulation System B.V. and TU Eindhoven for the development of adaptive facade systems.
