Innagris Limited is a registered company based in Nigeria and positions itself as an innovative online platform and digital warehouse for the agricultural sector. Founded by a group of Executive MBA students from HULT International Business School, the company aims to reduce post-harvest losses – which range between 20 and 30 percent in Nigeria/Africa – by around 50 percent. The platform connects farmers and buyers: farmers post certified product listings with quality, quantity, price and availability, and buyers search and place orders via the platform. In addition, Innagris offers logistics and transport from location A to B as well as the brokering of loans between partner banks and farmers. The product range includes processed goods, cereals, fruits/vegetables/legumes as well as fisheries and poultry products. Manufacturing processes, materials and quality certifications are not documented; the company is therefore not an industrial contract manufacturer in the strict sense.
