About BIC Altmark

The Innovations- und Gründerzentrum BIC Altmark GmbH was founded in 1992 with funds from the European Union as an innovation and start-up centre for the Altmark region. The company, based in Stendal (Arneburger Straße 24), is not a manufacturing firm but a service provider for start-up consulting and economic development. Its offering includes start-up consulting and support, pre- and post-founding courses as well as regular founders' meetups; between 2015 and summer 2020, around 285 founders were supported. Further areas of activity include industry and vacancy management for municipalities with inventory analyses and digitalisation offerings, the tasks of the energy agency in the Stendal district in the fields of energy and climate protection, as well as project work. In addition, the centre rents out conference and meeting rooms and is engaged in regional networks such as the Unternehmensnetzwerk Altmark (UNA) and the Skilled Workers Advisory Council of the Stendal district. For several years, the company has been the patron company of the Stendal regional competition as part of 'Jugend forscht'.
