About IT-V

Innovative Technologie Völp e.U. (IT-V) was founded in 1997 out of a scientific cooperation with the University Hospital of Radiation Therapy–Radio-Oncology in Innsbruck and develops positioning systems for patient immobilization in radiation therapy. The portfolio includes systems for head and neck (including HeadSTEP with iFRAME wing frame), breast and thorax (WingSTEP, BreastSTEP, BodyFIX), hip and pelvis (ProSTEP, BellySTEP) as well as the rotatable TBI STEP tabletop for whole-body irradiation in VMAT technique; all STEP products are also available in MR-compatible variants. The systems are manufactured in high-quality ABS and carbon fiber versions and produced in accordance with the medical device standard ISO 13485. The globally active company holds registrations for all European countries, the USA, Canada and many Asian countries. As of July 1, 2025, IT-V has also taken over the distribution of all Orfit products in Germany. The associated IT-V Medizintechnik GmbH was founded in 2008 and is based at the same location.
