Materials based on chemical nanotechnology

inomat GmbH is a manufacturer of new materials based on chemical nanotechnology, headquartered in Neunkirchen in the Saarland. The company develops and produces functional coatings, multifunctional binders and adhesives that are customised to the respective application. The product range includes anti-stick coatings (ino®dur) as water-based lacquers or solvent-based materials, inorganic fire-protection binders (ino®flamm), mixed-oxide coating systems (ino®sil MO), screen-printing decors for glass surfaces (ino®decor) as well as high-temperature products such as ino®wool HT and ino®flex IP80. The coatings are applied using standard painting processes such as spray painting, dipping, flow coating and brushing; curing takes place depending on the substrate between room temperature and approx. 500 °C. Founded in 2000 and privately held, the company conducts self-financed research and development and, with an interdisciplinary team of chemists, materials scientists and mechanical engineers, implements projects from development through quality-assured production to on-site consulting. Customers include, among others, RUAG, Daimler Chrysler, Pfleiderer Dämmstofftechnik and BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte.
