About Inoverde
Inoverde is a strategic business unit of the fenaco cooperative based in Bern and handles the marketing of fruit, vegetables and potatoes from over 1000 Swiss producers; around 85 to 90 percent of the range comes from Switzerland. The company, with over 400 employees at 14 locations in all major growing regions, supports producers with cultivation planning, takes over the produce, and handles storage, processing and packaging. Core services include refrigerated and CA storage, optical sorting and calibration, washing, sprout treatment, banana ripening in ripening chambers, as well as packing and order picking for the Swiss retail and wholesale trade and the food industry, including Migros and Coop. As of March 2023, the former fenaco Landesprodukte was renamed Inoverde; its roots go back through the fenaco founded in 1993 and its predecessor cooperatives to the late 19th century. All locations are certified according to ISO 9001:2015; customer labels include Migros Bio, Miini Region (Coop), Bio Suisse and IP-Suisse.
