From piping construction to specialist for plant construction and automation
INRAG AG from Muttenz near Basel is a Swiss plant construction and technology company that has grown out of piping construction since 1973. Its team of around 30 fabricates piping, apparatuses, vessels and special constructions from steel and stainless steel in its own workshop, builds tank farms with filling and blending systems, fire protection technology and sewage treatment plant technology, and also realizes plants on a turnkey basis as general contractor. Its value chain includes skid fabrication, certified welding work, prefabrication based on isometrics and CAD drawings, and the production of electrically insulating pipe connectors (KYBURZ® insulating pieces, insulating flanges and insulating screw connections) from 6 mm to DN 800 for galvanic pipe separation. The portfolio is complemented by engineering, measurement control and automation technology (PLC, bus systems, ITAS), metrology, analysis technology (microGC), calibration service according to MID/METAS, and H2 system integration with electrolyzers, H2 piping, filling stations and storage. Customers come from oil and gas, chemicals, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food industry, sewage treatment plant technology and renewable energies. In addition to its headquarters in Muttenz, the company has maintained a branch in Obertrum am See since 2024 with INRAG Austria GmbH.
