About Inselwerke eG
Inselwerke eG is a citizen energy cooperative founded in 2013 by ten women from Usedom, headquartered in Eberswalde. The 15-member team plans and implements photovoltaic systems between 5 and 500 kWp, specialising in technically demanding projects on a wide variety of roof systems such as tiled, trapezoidal, flat, green, in-roof and standing seam roofs, as well as solar carports and ground-mounted systems. An in-house construction team carries out assembly and installation; in addition, the cooperative offers operation, maintenance, billing services as well as tenant electricity and tenant shop models. Since 2016, it has also been active as a service provider for charging infrastructure, supporting AC and DC charging points from site analysis through planning, civil engineering and commissioning to operation with its own billing portal and support hotline. Customers include municipalities, housing associations, commercial enterprises, agriculture and tourism in Brandenburg and Western Pomerania.
