About Interacid
Founded in 1970 in Switzerland, the Interacid Group specializes in the trading, transport and storage of sulfuric acid. Since 1994 a 100% subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, the company markets sulfuric acid, among other things, exclusively for the Japanese smelter industry and operates a network of trading companies and tank terminals in Switzerland, Chile, the USA, Singapore and Australia. Its services include supply chain management, international ocean freight and chartering, marketing agreements with producers, terminal services with tank farms, and domestic distribution by rail and truck including dilution facilities. Around 4 million tonnes of sulfuric acid are traded and delivered annually through a distribution network spanning more than 16 countries on five continents. Customers come primarily from the fertilizer and chemical industries as well as mining. The company enforces a strict zero-leakage policy for the safe handling of the product.
