The Company
The Intercable Group is a family-owned technology company founded in 1972 by Herbert Mutschlechner, headquartered in Bruneck, South Tyrol. The company manufactures technical plastic and metal parts, cable protection and cable connection systems, and special tools for power distribution. Production includes plastic injection molding with over 2,500 t of thermoplastics processed annually, stamping of copper, brass and aluminum with over 1,500 t of raw material per year, in-house electroplating for continuous tinning of strip material, as well as tool and mold making, prototype construction and assembly of modules. Industries served include automotive and charging infrastructure, electrical engineering, wind energy, power distribution, rail and grounding technology, and energy storage systems. With 17 branches in Europe and North America, Intercable is organized into the Business Units Tec and Tools; the headquarters uses green electricity and operates its own photovoltaic system with up to 400 MWh annual yield. A testing laboratory of around 700 m² safeguards product quality.

Quality
A testing laboratory of around 700 m² with climate chambers, a shaker system and an electrodynamic tensile-compression testing machine safeguards product quality, among other things with temperature cycles from -70 °C to over 180 °C. The management system is organized according to DIN EN ISO 9001, ISO TS 16949 and DIN EN ISO 14001; the zero-defect principle is regarded as the highest maxim.
