Full service for the packaging of electronics
Intermas-Elcom GmbH, headquartered in Darmstadt, develops, manufactures and distributes components and assemblies for the packaging of electronics: cabinets, housings, subracks, cassettes, front panels, an extensive range of accessories and power supplies. The company was founded in 1969 as a division of the former AEG Aktiengesellschaft and played a major role in the standardization of 19-inch and metric construction; on 1 July 2001, Intermas-Elcom GmbH took over the Intermas assets. The company headquarters offers a modern machine park and high in-house manufacturing depth for small and medium production volumes on almost 4,000 m² of production and office space, while series parts are sourced from extended workbenches. Materials processed are predominantly sheet metal made of aluminium, steel and stainless steel up to 3 mm material thickness as well as aluminium profiles; front panels are milled, punched, anodized, painted, and screen- and digitally printed. The range extends from standard products to customized adaptations and complete new developments, up to system integration, wiring and assembly from prototyping to series production.
