INTERMEDT Medizin & Technik GmbH, based in Ostrhauderfehn (Lower Saxony), specializes in the design, construction, and manufacturing of automated concentrate production systems for dialysis facilities. Furthermore, the company packages pharmaceutical raw materials, including automatic filling of special containers according to recipe and supply of storage silos for production. INTERMEDT became known primarily for the fully automated ECOMix-Revolution System for dry concentrates in dialysis, launched in 2016. Founder Dipl.-Ing. Christoph Dumschat originally developed the idea in a garage and subsequently built a team that provides dialysis facilities with the technology to supply dialysis concentrates. In March 2022, the company was acquired by B. Braun Melsungen and integrated into the B. Braun Avitum division, which acts as a system provider for extracorporeal blood treatment.
