About IMIM
The International Master in Industrial Management (IMIM) is an English-language full-time Master's program offered jointly since 2004 by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and Heriot-Watt University (HWU). Graduates receive a Double Degree: a Master of Science as well as a Master in Industrial Management. The 16-month program is aimed at students with a scientific or engineering background and prepares them for leadership and management roles in internationally oriented manufacturing and service industries. The study phases take place in Madrid (Semester 1, UPM), Edinburgh (Semester 2, HWU) as well as Dubai and Kuala Lumpur (Semester 3, HWU); the fourth semester comprises the Master's thesis and a Corporate Internship of 6 to 12 months. In 2024, IMIM ranked 1st in the Spanish Master's ranking by the newspaper El Mundo in the Specialised Management category.
