About InterSaatzucht GmbH

InterSaatzucht GmbH (ISZ), based in Hohenkammer, was founded in 1995 and sees itself as an extended arm of international plant breeding. Its core task is to evaluate breeding material from domestic and foreign breeding partners in the most important agricultural crop species and to further develop it through to registration and market launch of new varieties. The basis of the selection work is the company's own variety testing system with currently 43 trial sites in Germany, where variety trials are established and conducted annually – both conventionally and under organic farming. The variety portfolio covers maize, winter triticale, spring triticale, winter wheat and feed peas. ISZ maize varieties such as Euroboss, Digital, Volos, Megalo and Quattro are distributed via renowned dealers, while the winter triticale varieties are marketed by Secobra. The company is certified as an organic control operation (DE-ÖKO-037).
