About Intouch-Robotics
Intouch-Robotics GmbH, based in Munich, develops an AI-supported tactile sensing platform (e-skin) for robots. The artificial skin detects pressure, pre-touch and temperature, turning existing industrial robots into cobots that can interact safely and compliantly with humans and their environment. In addition, the company offers multi-touch control software as well as auto-configuration and integration on existing robotics platforms. The technology is neuromorphic-based and operates with low computing effort and low energy consumption; the sensor patches are robust against bending, stretching and impact loads. The e-skin has already been demonstrated on several robotics platforms, including Universal Robots UR5, Mitsubishi RV-2SQ, PAL Robotics, Toyota HSR and Hebi. Fields of application lie in robotics, industrial automation, humanoid and service robotics, and assistive robotics. It is a technology and engineering company without its own manufacturing of metal or plastic components.
