About AQUABION – ION Deutschland GmbH
ION Deutschland GmbH, headquartered in Düsseldorf, has been developing and distributing the AQUABION® lime converters for environmentally friendly water treatment since 2004. The systems operate on the galvanic principle (active anode technology) and modify the limescale in the water so that it adheres less – without chemicals, without salt and without a power connection. The pipe-fitting-like devices are installed into existing water pipes, require no maintenance after installation and are suitable for all metal and plastic pipes. The products are available in various sizes and are manufactured as Made in Germany. Installation is carried out in cooperation with partner ION specialist plumbers. The systems have been installed for over 15 years to protect against pipe blockage, pipe failure and breakdowns; according to the company, they have already been used in over 300,000 private households, multi-family buildings, hotels and industrial facilities.
