About IONO Robotics

IONO Robotics is a technology company based in Linz and, as the only Austrian company, develops safe humanoid robots for industrial applications. The start-up combines precision mechanics with AI and develops robots that can move, interact and act autonomously – for use in real industrial environments rather than in the laboratory. The humanoid robot WORKMATE is designed for continuous operation, features more than 20 sensors and supports a hybrid locomotion mode combining walking and driving; first deliveries are announced for 2026. The robots are connected to the in-house software platform IonoSphere, which is designed to enable flexible and safe deployments. IONO works closely with industrial partners and tests concrete use cases under real production conditions, including together with SAG Group. As the initiator of the Austrian Humanoid Hub, the company networks businesses, researchers and innovators to advance humanoid robotics in Austria.
