About IPM
IPM - International Perforation Management was founded at the start of 2002 by engineer Werner Grosse and is a high-tech engineering company in the field of nano and micro perforation. The company, with locations in Germany, Thailand and China, develops electrostatic and laser microperforation machines as well as optical online porosity measurement technology for moving webs. Production is carried out with competent key-supply partners in Thailand and China; the systems are sold worldwide as turn-key projects, including commissioning, training and technology transfer. The processes comprise electrostatic cluster perforation with holes from 50 nm to 100 microns, web speeds up to 600 m/min and web widths up to 2,000 mm, as well as laser material treatment (cutting, welding, drilling, ablation, cleaning) with up to 4/6 kW laser power and up to 200 output channels. Materials treated include paper and film webs (including BOPP, PET, PTFE, PE, PP, laminates, kraftliner, aluminium foil) as well as, via laser processing, stainless steel, ceramics, glass, brass, copper, titanium, silicon and precious metals. Main markets are the cigarette, fine paper, packaging, filter, nonwoven and agricultural industries as well as photovoltaics and medical technology. Founder Grosse initiated more than 42 inventions with over 34 national and international patents and in 2004 received the Caiyun award of the Yunnan government for the cooperation with the Hongta Group.
