About iSAM AG
iSAM AG, headquartered in Mülheim an der Ruhr, is a provider of innovative automation technologies for the intelligent control of industrial processes. The company develops systems for the autonomous operation of large-scale equipment in bulk material and container handling, including autonomous ship loaders with extended collision protection, grab ship unloaders, pneumatic unloaders, combined stacker-reclaimers (bucket-wheel excavators) and autonomous wagon loading stations. The solutions are based on 3D laser scanning, RTK-GPS position detection, proprietary software for sensor data evaluation and the integration into complete systems that can be operated from a central control station – even over long distances. Another business field is automated repair systems for CFRP materials, developed jointly with Airbus and Lufthansa Technik, which process multiply curved components with accuracies of up to ±0.06 mm. Customers include port operators such as EMO Rotterdam and Hansaport, mining companies such as BHP and Rio Tinto, as well as companies from the aerospace, shipbuilding, automotive and wind power sectors.
