About Isar Subsea Robotics
Isar Subsea Robotics is a product-developing start-up headquartered in Munich that is developing a new class of autonomous underwater vehicles. The focus is on an AUV-WCROV that combines the work capabilities of a Work-Class ROV with the autonomy and intelligence of an AUV. The systems are designed from the ground up according to three principles: a modular system architecture that allows the same core platform to be adapted to different requirements; onboard AI and edge processing for real-time decisions underwater without dependence on the surface; and mission-oriented autonomy, in which operators specify goal-based tasks and the vehicle executes, adapts and reports on them independently. In addition, capabilities for integration into host systems are planned. Target markets are oil & gas, defense, offshore wind energy and ocean research. The company is in the development phase and is seeking investors, co-founders and teams.
