About ISCAR
ISCAR is an Israeli manufacturer of metal cutting tools headquartered in Migdal Tefen and part of the IMC Group (International Metalworking Companies), which has been wholly owned by Berkshire Hathaway since 2013. The company produces carbide indexable inserts, solid carbide end mills and drills, toolholding systems, and miniature carbide and ceramic parts for turning, milling, drilling, thread cutting and broaching. Production is based on fully automatic DNC-controlled CNC milling machines and lathes, supported by pick-and-place robots and automated guided vehicles (AGVs). Materials include cemented carbide with cobalt or nickel binder, carbide with CBN and PCD tips, ceramics and tool steel. ISCAR supplies industries such as aerospace, automotive, energy, medical technology and general mechanical engineering, and is present with subsidiaries and representatives in over 60 countries. For the DACH region, branches in Ettlingen (Germany), Steyr-Gleink (Austria) and Dilbeek (Belgium, European central warehouse) are responsible.
