About Intermed
Intermed is a trading and logistics company, now run by doctors in its third generation, with around 1,200 employees. Since 1985, the company has been supplying medical practices of all specialties, medical care centers (MVZ), hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies and alternative practitioners with medical practice and consultation supplies as well as medical technology – from medical crepe paper to centrifuges. The product range comprises more than 21,000 items, of which around 6,000 are held in stock, complemented by the INTERMED house brand with over 240 hygiene and disinfection products. Via its own logistics network with multiple locations and depots, more than 25,000 stop points are served daily; 1,400 consignments leave the central warehouse in Geesthacht every day. In addition to trading, Intermed offers services such as sterile goods reprocessing, device testing (MTK/STK), endoscope and probe repair, medical practice waste disposal, document destruction and mail logistics. On behalf of the LADR/Sonic laboratories, Intermed supplies submitters throughout Germany with sample collection and shipping materials (EVM).
