Specialists in high-precision robotics
Isios GmbH is a technology company founded in Berlin in 2006 that specialises in improving and safeguarding the absolute accuracy of industrial robots. Its portfolio ranges from highly precise robot calibration as a service — using a laser tracker or the patented, proprietary ISIOS Laser Sensor System — to individually configured recalibration systems for permanent use in the production facility, through to Tracker Guidance, a real-time compensation solution using a laser tracker in the running process. The basis is a complex mathematical robot model that takes into account and compensates not only geometric deviations but also elasticities, load-induced deformations, joint errors as well as tool and orientation errors. These technologies are used in robot tasks such as milling of aluminium components, Automated Fiber Placement of composite parts, ultrasonic testing and multi-colour printing — especially in automotive and motorcycle production, aerospace, robotics and additive manufacturing. Calibration is performed worldwide directly at the customer's site; a partnership with Siemens has existed since 2014.

Technologies and measurement methods
ISIOS Laser Sensor System
Patented laser-sensor technology that captures the smallest robot deviations across the entire working volume without a laser tracker.
Tracker Guidance
Real-time compensation in which a laser tracker measures and corrects the robot pose within the running process cycle.
Recalibration System
Metrology integrated into the robot cell for regular automated verification and correction of absolute accuracy.
