About us
ISOMET AG, headquartered in Otelfingen, is a full-range supplier of wires, strands, cables and copper enamelled wires. The product range includes single cores, installation cables, EPR-PUR and rubber cables, control cables, signal, data and BUS cables, appliance cables, drag-chain cables as well as cables for lift and conveyor systems. Since 2006 the company has been a 100% subsidiary of IRCE SpA in Imola (IT) and works long-term with leading cable manufacturers in Europe. With over 7,500 stock items and more than 11,000 goods movements per month and a warehouse volume of over 38,200 m³, short response times are possible. In addition to trading, ISOMET offers cable assembly, logistics, customer service and returnable packaging collection. Customer segments include the electrical installation trade, the machine industry, plant engineering, assemblers, ELDAS wholesalers, the construction industry, winding shops, lift and conveyor system construction and the public sector.

History
- 1977
ISOMET AG founded by Renato and Elisabeth Kern in a goods shed in Buchs ZH; started with copper enamelled wires for the winding goods industry and harmonised cables; the only supplying manufacturer was IRCE SpA, Imola (IT).
- 1980
Move into the operating building of Wiederkehr AG in Otelfingen; continuous expansion of the product range and increase in cable suppliers.
- 1980er
Positioning as one of the market-leading distributors of winding wires and profiles in Switzerland; increase in market share in electrical cables.
- 1991/1992
Construction of the first stage of the company's own buildings on Mattenstrasse in Otelfingen: over 32,000 m³ warehouse volume, 880 m² office space.
- 2001
Commissioning of an additional warehouse with approx. 6,200 m³; development towards a leading position in the field of wiring strands.
- 2006
Withdrawal of founder Renato Kern as managing director and chairman of the board; 100% acquisition by the long-standing partner IRCE SpA, Imola (IT).
