About us

It Depends Aero GmbH (IDA) is a Munich-based engineering service provider focused on system safety, mission assurance and certification of safety-critical aerospace products. The team supports programs across the entire lifecycle: from Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), SSA and CCA per ED-135/ARP4761A, through RAMS and fault tree analyses per ECSS standards, to certification under EASA Part 21 Subpart J and G. The service portfolio includes certification planning, Means of Compliance, authority interfaces, support from qualified Compliance Verification Engineers (CVE), DOA consulting, as well as mentoring and training. In the military domain, the company works with EMAR 21, LufABw, UK MAA and STANAG 4671. As a member of EUROCAE, IDA actively shapes industry-wide standards. The application areas range from large aircraft, helicopters and eVTOL to hybrid-electric propulsion (H)EPS, general aviation and unmanned systems, through to launch vehicles and satellites.
