About Italdesign

Italdesign was founded in 1968 by Giorgetto Giugiaro and Aldo Mantovani in Moncalieri near Turin and is today an internationally active, vertically integrated development service provider. The company offers services ranging from design and engineering through prototyping and pre-series to integration, validation, homologation and street-legal small-series production. In manufacturing, body parts and interiors are produced from sheet metal and plastic, styling models for aerospace, industry and transport as well as tools, moulds and components; in addition, silicone prototypes (ETM) and moulds made of acrylic, cast iron and Zamak (SALLIG) are produced. The industries covered include Automotive, Aerospace, Robotics, Mobility and Product Design. With more than 1,000 employees and locations in Italy, Germany, Spain, China and the USA, the company has been part of the US group UST since 2026. Certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EN 9100 underscore the qualified manufacturing and testing process.
