item Industrietechnik GmbH has been a pioneer of modular industrial building block systems since 1976 and offers more than 4,500 components for profiles, racks, workstations, automation, machine enclosures, cleanroom production and lean production. The portfolio includes aluminium profiles and panels as well as lighting solutions such as the LED Machine Light Fittings in six sizes (5–30 W, IP67) and material airlocks for cleanroom applications made of cleanroom-suitable POM and anodised aluminium. Panels are made from, among others, AlMg1, Al-PE composite material, acrylic glass, PET-G, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene and solid plastic, some ESD-suitable and supplied cut to customer specifications. Engineering tools such as CAD data, configurators and an online shop with direct ordering support the planning process. With partners in 64 countries, item supplies customers worldwide, including in mechanical engineering, plant engineering and automation.

Aluminium sheets for all kinds of machine enclosures, naturally anodised with a coating thickness from 10 μm and coating hardness 250–350 HV.
Al-PE composite material
Lightweight, weather-resistant sandwich composite (0.5 mm AlMg1, 3.0 mm PE, 0.5 mm AlMg1) with high flexural and buckling stiffness for panels and doors.
Aluminium, naturally anodised
Material of the LED housings and Airlock-X-8 components for industrial applications.
Aluminium-magnesium (Al-Mg)
Material of the material airlock components with low particle emission.
