About ITG innovative technologies GmbH

ITG innovative technologies GmbH is developing the iMS (intelligent Measurement System), a robot calibration system for the automated measurement and calibration of industrial robots. The system autonomously detects deviations in robot kinematics and intervenes before a plant downtime occurs. Its functions include the diagnosis of robot kinematics, recovery, base measurement, TCP measurement and mastering. The methods combine manual, tactile (probe) and optical calibration with camera systems, laser measurement and non-contact sensor technology. With the iMS upgrade, the conventional industrial robot becomes an Industry 4.0-capable system with automated robot analysis. The automation of calibration reduces service and maintenance costs, increases machine availability and improves overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), without requiring skilled personnel. The cooperation partner is Strama-MPS, with whom the iMS system has been adapted to the FANUC control R-30iB Plus.
