IWATA LABEL Europe GmbH is the European sales and service company of the Japanese IWATA LABEL Group, based in Düsseldorf. The company offers functional pharmaceutical labels and labeling solutions, including the patented VPP series (Vial Protect Pack) for labeling and protecting vials, light-protection labels (Light Protect Pack / Shrink Tack Label), cryogenic labels for ultra-low-temperature storage, and the SMCL series of labeling systems. The parent company IWATA LABEL was founded in 1962 in Aichi Prefecture (Japan) and has been active in the pharmaceutical market since 1977 with GMP-compliant roll-tack labels; with the LPE labels developed in the 1990s, it coined the term Functional Label.
