About iXent
Founded in Munich in 2011, iXent GmbH is an engineering company for applied lightweight construction focusing on structural design and manufacturing of fibre composite components and systems. The founders Christoph Erbelding and Thomas Hahn, both aerospace engineers from the University of Stuttgart, combine more than 25 years of experience from positions including the BMW Group, Mercedes Benz and professional motorsport. Their services include feasibility studies, concept development, structural simulation and numerical optimisation (static, dynamic, crash, NVH, topology, shape and laminate optimisation), CAD, aerodynamics and hydrodynamics (CFD, VLM, airfoil development) as well as fibre composite design using the in-house tool iXlam. From the first sketch to finished hardware, prototype and series production is carried out through established network partners for precision lightweight manufacturing. Customers come from the automotive, aerospace, sailing, motorsport, winter sports and sporting goods sectors, including BMW, Oracle Team USA, duotone/Boards & More and TUM Hyperloop. The company works in small, multidisciplinary teams with lean structures.
